I know summer can be a scary time for those of us with a little extra chub; legs are out and sleeveless dresses are in. But you don’t have to be afraid! I dare you to challenge yourself this summer, step out of your comfort zone and into some super cute clothes. Stop worrying about what others think and focus on knowing that you look incredible. Rock the thunder thighs and show off your amazing body whatever size or shape you are. To help you along in your journey, I’ve picked out some of my favourite trends of moment that are perfectly suited to us chunkier gals.

1. Wrap Dresses
Wrap Dresses are your saviour for any occasion, whether that be a date night, a day in the beer garden or a lunch with the family. They sweep across your stomach drawing attention to the smallest part of your waist, which is very flattering! I like to style them with some bold tassel earrings and heels for a sleek evening look.

2. T-shirt dresses
These are perfect for a more casual day. I like to style them with a pair of trainers and an oversized denim jacket for the perfect chilled vibe. T-shirt dresses are a saviour for when it’s really hot out, as they don’t cling to the body and flow over any lumps or bumps that you might feel conscious about.

3. Cycling Shorts
Ok, so I know this is a bit out there, and will be out of most people’s comfort zones! But cycling shorts are a cute way of solving the age-old issue of chub rub! Styled with a really oversized t-shirt, trainers and a big old pair of sunnies they look super edgy and cool. My legs are my biggest gripe when it comes to deciding what to wear, but fuck it! Cycling shorts are a cool trend that even us chunky gals can look hot in (just look at these amazing plus models rocking them!)

I’ll end this post by saying that everyone is beautiful, no matter if you are big or small, slim or a little bit chunky. I am a firm believer that you shouldn’t be restricted in what you wear because of your size, wear whatever the fuck you want and feel confident in doing so! Get those legs out girl.

If you have any tips for being plus in the sun, leave them below! And don’t forget to give this post a like, comment and share to support my little blog!

As always, thank you for reading, and thanks to Soap and Glory for supporting this this post!

Love, Emma xx

Summer is OFFICIALLY HERE! After months of dull and drizzly days, the sun is finally shining and I am ready! Hot weather for me means wearing less make up and, if you’re pale like me, you will definitely be tanning before you get your legs out! In this blog I have compiled a list of the perfect summer products to make yourself and your skin look amazing just in time for your holiday.

The first is the Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk. This is the most amazing cleanser that literally melts away your make-up and makes the skin look refreshed and energised. I use this in a morning to make sure my skin is squeaky clean and fresh, and again in the evening to take off any left-over make-up or just to make sure my skin is clean after a hot (and sweaty) day. Not only does this cleanser make your skin feel sooo soft, it also smells exactly like peaches (my favourite smell ever). Find it here!

The second essential I can’t recommend enough is the Flake Away Body Polish. This stuff is a staple in my bathroom, especially when it comes to tanning season. I use this in the shower or bath before I’m going to use a fake tan, and it makes sure that there are no dry patches for the tan to cling to and go patchy. This scrub is also amazing for taking off tan when it’s past its best! Find it here!

The third and final product on my summer skin list, is the Peach Pout Completely Balmy Lipsticks. These are perfect for the hot weather because they are pigmented like a lipstick, but feel like a balm on the lips. This stops your lips from getting dry and cracked in the heat, but also stays on all day. The lipstick is available in 3 shades: Peach for the Sky, Peach Ball and Freedom of Peach, so there will be a shade to suit you! The shade I lean to most is the slightly more red-toned Freedom of Peach as it looks amazing with a pale complexion. Find them here!

As always thank you for reading, and let me know if you have any other products that I should try or any that I should be packing in my suitcase to take on holiday!

Keeping it transparent: You might have noticed that all of these products are from Soap and Glory, and although this post is supported by them, I am under no obligation to only use their products! They are just the best out there! They not only do wonders for your skin, but they always smell amazing and are always reasonably priced.
